Gravity Management Partners with Canadian Cancer Society to Launch Curl for Cancer Initiative

Toronto, ON – [September 19, 2024] – Gravity Management is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) to support the Curl for Cancer initiative launch. This collaboration will harness the power of the curling community to drive meaningful contributions toward cancer awareness and support. Curling ambassadors involved in Curl for Cancer include Craig Savill, Emma Miskew and Laurie St-Georges, Gravity Management’s own Ryan Fry and support from other top curling teams in the World.

Curling has long been a sport that unites communities, and this partnership seeks to channel that unity into making a tangible impact. Through this collaboration, Gravity Management will leverage its industry expertise and extensive network to enhance the reach and effectiveness of the Curl for Cancer initiative, creating a nationwide campaign that resonates deeply within the curling community.

“Cancer is expected to affect about 2 in 5 people in Canada and is the leading cause of death in the country. The need for collective action is more pressing than ever, and curling provides a unique platform to make a difference. Gravity Management is committed to helping the Canadian Cancer Society amplify this initiative, ensuring it reaches as many people as possible and resonates deeply within the curling community,” said Jess Szabo, CEO and Co-Founder of Gravity Management.

Whether in small towns or big cities, curling unites people, instilling a sense of camaraderie, teamwork, and community that resonates far beyond the ice. From league nights to special events, Curl for Cancer aims to amplify the impact of each registered curling club’s efforts, ensuring that the initiative is not just a campaign but a movement that drives action.

“Curling has a unique ability to bring people together, and this partnership allows us to connect with communities in a powerful way. This partnership will ensure that curling clubs across Canada are well-supported in their fundraising efforts. The curling community’s unwavering commitment to making a difference inspires the Canadian Cancer Society to expand our impact together,” said Kelly MacNaull, Senior Manager of New Business Development and Sports Alliances at the Canadian Cancer Society.

With Curl for Cancer’s official launch, curling clubs across Canada are encouraged to register by visiting cancer.ca/curling before October 31, 2024, for a chance to win great curling prizes. Curl for Cancer will provide a comprehensive toolkit, tips, promotional tools, and access to CCS staff to ensure fundraising events succeed.
